Death of Mrs. Anna E. Paul
Early Sunday morning occurred the death of Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Paul of 220 Bowman street, for over forty years a resident of East End, where a life of probity and charity won her a host of friends.
Mrs. Paul was bonr in Wiedershansen, Hessennassau, Germany, March 31, 1843, and was therefore 66 years, 3 months and 19 days old. She came to this county when 24 years old and resided in Wilkes-Barre ever since. She was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of South Main street, and one of its most devoted attendants. The aged lady had everything in readiness to start church when the stroke of apoplexy came which caused her death.
She leaves to mourn her loss a daughter, Mrs. John F. Banks of Hollenback avenue, and a son, Dr. Frederick Treshman of New York, also one step son, Oscar H. Paul of this city.
