NANNIE TAYLOR TAKEN IN DEATH
Mrs. Nannie Taylor, 86, widow of Thomas Taylor, Jr., Lida, died at 8:15 p.m. September 17, at the Marymount Hospital.
A native of Laurel County, she was born Sept. 2, 1879, the daughter of Henry and Margaret Redman Walden.
There are 103 living descendants.
Among the survivors are four daughters and three sons:
Mrs. Millard Gilbert, Corbin;
Mrs. Troy Cobb, Cranes Nest;
Mrs. Edwin L. May, Pueblo, CO;
Mrs. A.M. Wash, Lancaster, SC;
Fred Taylor, Blackwater;
Otis C. Taylor, Dearborn, MI; and
Henry C. Taylor, Sante Fe, NM;
32 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren;
and one brother, John E. Walden, Decompsey, MI.
Funeral services were conducted at the Blackwater United Baptist Church Monday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Lowell Gilbert. Burial was in the Blackwater Cemetery with the House Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Coleman Taylor, Charles Taylor, DeVern Bateman, Tommy Williams, Leroy Gilbert and
Donald Langley.
