Dorothy W. ( Wallace ) Brosnihan, 94, passed away December 31, 2007 at home after a long illness. Her husband John J. "Jack" Brosnihan passed in 1997.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Daniel and Lori Brosnihan both of North Grafton and Kathleen Brosnihan - Walsh of Millbury. Three great grandchildren, Shannon Walsh, Nathaniel and Colin Brosnihan. Two nieces, Janet Erickson and Ann Boudreau and one nephew Edward Doane all of Grafton. Her son John " Gene " Brosnihan passed in 1996 and her sister Marion Doane passed in 1979. Mrs. Brosnihan was born March 6, 1913 in Westborough the daughter of F. Eugene and Myra (Cox) Wallace and has lived in Grafton since 1918. She graduated from Grafton High School in 1930 and then Becker College in Worcester in 1935 earning a degree in Business Management. Dorothy was an executive secretary with a publishing company in Portsmouth RI and then with The Aquidneck Screw Machine Co. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary's Church and a good friend to many during her lifetime.
Her funeral will be held Saturday Janaury 5th at 10 am from Roney Funeral Homes - North Chapel, 152 Worcester St. (Rt. 140 & 122) in North Grafton, followed by the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 11 am in her Parish Church of St. Mary, 17 Waterville St. (Rt. 30) in North Grafton. She will then be laid to rest with her husband in Pine Grove Cemetery. All are invited to calling hours Friday January 4th from 4 to 7 pm in Roney Funeral Homes - North Chapel.
