Fall River MA Herald News, Wednesday, April 30, 2003-
"Alice W. (Wallace) Harding, 97, of Rochester Street, Fall River, died Sunday at her son's residence in Weston. She was the wife of the late John C. Harding. A lifelong Fall River resident, she was a daughter of the late Christopher A. Wallace and the late Alice (Boshall) Wallace. She was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1924, and the former Bridgewater Normal School, now Bridgewater State College, class of 1926. She later pursued studies at Providence College and Boston University. Mrs. Harding was a first-grade teacher with the Fall River School Department for 31 years. She was also employed with the Harwich School System on Cape Cod for five years. She was a communicant of Holy Name Church in Fall River and was a member of its Women's Guild, Altar Rosary Society and a former member of the Catholic Women's Club. She was a former member and assistant treasurer of the Fall River Woman's Club and a former member and treasurer of the Fall River Garden Club. She was also a member of the Bristol County Retired Teachers and the retired State, County and Municipal Employees of Massachusetts. For many years, she was a volunteer in the gift shop at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She is survived by a daughter, Alice Jane Reilly of Fall River; two sons, John C. Harding III of Weston and James W. Harding of Chicago; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also the mother of the late Margaret Ann Harding. Arrangements are by the Jeffrey E. Sullivan Funeral Home, 550 Locust St., Fall River."

In the school year 1953-1954, Mrs Harding was my first grade teacher at Westall Elementary, 276 Maple St, Fall River MA.
