I identified his body. I still think of you often Lt Sam. This was good man and a good officer. We all thought the world of you sir. This was a hard day for Fox 2/9. 4 dead enlisted men, one dead corpsman, and you sir. I still think of you often Lt Sam. Will see you in the next world. God bless you. Sergeant "Russ" Russell.
Although we never met, I have heard stories about you all my life. I am taking my children to the Wall tomorrow, and will try to explain your sacrifice to them. Our family has always been very proud of you. Rest in peace. Julia Brown, 2080 Stinchcomb Road Dewy Rose GA
