Lewis Watson, 81, who lived at 254 Burton St, Benton Harbor, died at 1:20 p.m. Sunday at the Berrien County Hospital, Berrien Center. He had been a resident of Benton Harbor 21 years. He was born March 11, 1868 at Edgewood, MO, the son of the Rev. Granville and Harriet Watson.

Surviving are two sons, William, of Benton Harbor, and Hebrew, of Menard, IL; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Johnson, of Grand Rapids, and three grandchildren, Mrs. Lucille Carver, Mrs. Georgia Woolridge and John McPike, all of Benton Harbor. Six great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Second Baptist Church, of which Mr. Watson was a member. The pastor, the Rev. W. G. Wilson, will officiate and burial will follow in Crystal Springs Cemetery. The body is at the Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, where friends may call.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Second Baptist Church for Lewis Watson. The pastor, Rev. W. G. Wilson, officiated, and the church choir sang several selections. Casket bearers were C. L. Bass, James Brooks, J. B. Henderson, Kenneth Stewart, Dave Bruce and Jessie Lemon. Burial was in Crystal Springs Cemetery. The Robbins Brothers Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
