RAPID CITY - Eunice L. Albrecht, 72, Rapid City, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1929, at Flandreau, S.D., the daughter of Walter and Gunda (Ellingson) Weigel. She grew up in Flandreau and graduated from Flandreau High School. Eunice married Alvin Albrecht on June 10, 1949, at Flandreau. The couple resided in Pipestone, Minn., following their marriage, moving to Rapid City in 1957. She was employed for a time as a bookkeeper with St. John's McNamara Hospital and was later employed as a bookkeeper with Black Hills Mayflower, Merillat Particleboard Co. and the Spiegel Co. She was a member of the Altrusa Club, the Business and Professional Women's Club and the Literacy Council.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin Albrecht, Rapid City; two daughters, Elizabeth Albrecht, Rapid City, and Susan Leanhart and her husband Daryl, Nemo; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Osheim-Catron Funeral Home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Osheim-Catron Funeral Home, with Rev. Bruce Baum officiating.
Interment will be at the Pine Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Literacy Council.
