PEASE, Evelyn C. 78, Xenia, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 29, 2004, at Hospice of Dayton and welcomed into Heaven by her husband, Warren G. Pease, and three children, James M. Pease, Susan K. Collins and Joanie K. Pease. She was born April 6, 1925, in Hyacinth, Kansas, the daughter of Michael and Anna Rohleder Weigel. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly A. and Dick Ossege, Dayton, Mary L. and Mike Spatz, Xenia, a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas W. and Marianne Pease, West Carrollton, a son-in-law, Mike Collins, Xenia, eight grandchildren, Rick Ossege, Ken (Allison) Ossege, Brandy Fite, Katie Fite, Yvonne Fite, Sean Collins, Cameron Pease, and Connor Pease, four great-grandchildren, Haley Fite, Kobey Fite, Shelby Fite, and Sadie Fite, four sisters, Roberta (Gid) Leiker, Hays, Ks., Georgine Keberlein, Hays, KS., Mary Ann (Don) Killian, Russell, KS., and Elaine Martin, Independence, MO., a brother, Elmer (Bernita) Weigel, Hays, KS., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Stevana Depperschmidt and a brother, Julian Weigel. She was an extremely devoted and amazing mother and grandmother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Brigid Church, Girl Scout Leader, member of the VFW Post #2402, Auxiliary, and employed by the Community Lanes nursery for 27 years, retiring in April 1997. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Monday, February 2, 2004, at St. Brigid Church, 312 Fairground Rd., Xenia, with Rev. Kenneth Schartz officiating. The family invites friends, neighbors, and relatives to celebrate a visitation at the Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., from 2-4:30 pm Sunday, followed by a service at 4:30 pm. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to the Diabetes Association of the Dayton Area.
