Mary Consier, 65, of Eagle Grove, died unexpectedly at her home March 8, 2007.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2007 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Tim Geitz officiating. Interment will be held in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Mary Catherine Welch, the daughter of John Emery and Madonna Welch, was born on April 2, 1941 in Dallas County. She graduated high school from Central Dallas High School in Minburn. On March 1, 1959 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Consier. Mary was a talented quilter, owning her own shop, Grandma's Quilts.
Mary was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was involved in Ladies Aid and quilt clubs in Fort Dodge and Eagle Grove. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Mary enjoyed quilting and gardening. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Kenneth Consier of Eagle Grove; her daughters Ronda (Scott) Gawtry of Fort Dodge, and Renee (Mike) Pratt of Lillyton, NC; three grandchildren Lydia Gawtry, Jessica and Kyle Pratt; her sisters Donna Hammonds, Pat Calkins, Loretta Halling, Caroline Kenny, Colleen Rodeffer, Connie Latshaw; her brothers Bill Welch, John Welch and Richard Welch. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Nancy.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
