Mrs. George Claassen

Mrs. George Claassen, 65, Akron, died at her residence Saturday night (July 23, 1977) after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic church, Akron. The Rev. Stanley R. Stone will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery in Akron.

The rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. today by the Catholic Daughters of America and at 8 p.m.by the parish at the Schroeder funeral home, Akron.

Mrs. Claassen, the former Ella Rose Welch, was born April 21, 1912, in Westfield.

She was married in July of 1934 in Akron. The couple resided in the Akron area all their lives. Mr. Claassen died in October 1974.

She taught in elementary schools and special education classes for 25 years in Plymouth and Sioux counties. She retired in 1973.

Survivors include a son, William of Akron, and five brothers, Frank of Westfield and Emmett, William, Jesse and Ray, all of Akron.
