Nora Kinzler, 81, Kulm, N.D., died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Wishek (N.D.) Home for the Aged after a long battle with cancer.

Nora Welk was born Jan. 27, 1928, at Kulm, the daughter of Christ and Amelia (Ruff) Welk. She grew up near Kulm where she attended country school. She worked on area farms before working at a café in Kulm. She married Eugene Kinzler on March 31, 1951, at Kulm. They lived in several North Dakota towns before moving back to Kulm in 1992. She worked at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, and Good Samaritan Home, Osna-brock, N.D., as a nurse's aide.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Linda (Kim) Norheim, New Lebanon, Ohio; two sons, Steven (Joleen) and Keith (Mary), both Kulm; two brothers, Art, Miller, S.D., and Kenneth (Marilyn), Mandan, N.D.; three sisters, Aneta Geisler, Bismarck, N.D., Leona (Art) Bollinger, Edgeley, N.D., and Frieda Keller, Jamestown; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister and two brothers.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Zion Lutheran Church, Kulm.

Prayer service: 7 p.m. today, Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm.

Visitation: 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Burial: Hillside Cemetery, rural Kulm.
