Mrs. Elizabeth Wells Brown, age 100, of Shelbyville, died Monday, March 8, 2010, at her home after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Dr. Robin Kimbrough will officiate, with burial to follow in Mt. Ararat Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11 AM until time of service Saturday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.

She was born March 23, 1909 in Shelbyville, Tennessee, to the late Thomas and Mary Mrytle Terry Wells. She was a homemaker and a member of Scott United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Clarence Brown, a son, James Clarence Brown, and three sisters, Catherine Johnson, Birdie Lytle, and Eileen Wells.

She is survived by five daughters, Ruby Campbell and her husband Bruce, Ruth Maxwell and her husband Denny, Rachel Batts and her husband Burnice, Birdie Smith, and Katie Beard; one son, Hershel L. Brown, all of Shelbyville; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.

Feldhaus Memorial Chapel assisted the family with the arrangements.
