Marthy ( Mattie ) Jane Wells was 1st married to David Sylvester Sigman in N. Carolina and together had 5 children . Mattie was the daughter of Burrell ( Barney )Featherstone Wells. after being Widowed in approx 1888 Mattie resided in Sharon,Tenn until her 2nd Marriage to ( approx 1922 )John or Jack ( Tuck) Nelson of Obion County,Tenn. together they made their home in Rives,Tenn and had no children together. Marthy Jane Wells/Sigman/Nelson was forever known as Maaw Nelson to her family. Maaw Nelson was laid to rest in Alamo Cemetery,Rives, Obion,County,,Tenn in 1942.

Gravesite Details
It seems for unknown reasons the Stone for Marthy Jane ( Maaw) Nelson can't any longer be located in the cemetery. My father attended Maaw Nelson's furneral and her buriel in Alamo cemetery but even he coulden't locate her grave.
