In loving memory of our loved one, Mrs. Clara Stant, who was suddenly called from our midst to her home not made with hands, eternal in the Heavens on April 28th, 1917.
Days of sadness still come o’er us,
Tears of sorrow silently flow,
Fond memory keeps our loved one near us,
Though Heaven claimed her six months ago.
The golden gates were open wide,
A gentle voice said come,
And angels from the other shore,
Welcomed our loved one home.
Oh! how sweet it will be in that beautiful land
That is free from all sorrow and pain,
With songs on our lips and with harps in our hands,
To meet my dear sister again.
By her loving brother, Emory J. Wessells.
You were taken from us so suddenly,
I did not even see you die.
But I believe that you are resting
At home with your Savior on high.
By her loving niece, Mattie Byrd.
