MRS. CALLIE WHITAKER - Dies At 67 After Illness of 12 Years - Services for Mrs. Callie B. Whitaker, widow of J. Vance Whitaker, will be held at 10:30 this morning at National Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park. Mrs. Whitaker, who was 67, died at 2:40 yesterday morning after an illness of 12 years. Her husband, a farmer, died in 1953. A lifelong resident of Shelby County, Mrs. Whitaker was a member of New Salem Presbyterian Church. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Hudson of Memphis and Mrs. Evelyn Pennell of Bolton; two sisters, Mrs. Lyle Meadow of Jackson, Tenn., and Mrs. Douglas Cooper of Memphis; a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
