DON E. WHITAKER, 66, of Memphis, retired supervisor of South Central Bell, died Friday at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge. He attended Parkway Village Baptist Church, was a Navy veteran, and was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. Mr. Whitaker, the husband of Sammie H. Whitaker, also leaves two sons, Wayne A. Whitaker and Keith A. Whitaker, both of Memphis; a sister, Sharon Terrett of Southaven, and a grandchild. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Parkway Village Baptist Church.
