June Lee White was born to Lois McCauley White and James Dorset White in the front bedroom of Clara Highams McCauley’s house, her maternal grandmother, on Nov 27, 1932. The family lived with Clara until her death in 1941. In 1944 or 1945, they purchased a house on Southern Ave where June would grow up, an only child, and meet her future husband who lived across Southern Ave and the railroad tracks from them.

Her parents divorced in 1947 and her father moved to Dallas TX.

June married Fred R Bost in 1956. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper at Consolidated Reality. They lived in Memphis and had a still born daughter and then their son, Kurt Bost, in 1962.

In early 1963 they moved to Syracuse with Fred’s work. They returned to Memphis in late 1964.

June took a few short-term, part-time jobs as a bookkeeper, but was primarily a stay at home mom. She loved music, occasionally played the Piano, bowled on a league with her husband, and won awards for her ceramics.

June passed away in 1990.
