Evelyn was the oldest daughter of William Lafayette White (1881-1946) and Beulah Gage White (1885-1975); she had four sisters: Elsie, Annie Rea, June, and another that died as a baby. She married Joseph Thomas Cobb Sr., and they had three children: Joseph Thomas Cobb Jr., Robert Lyle Cobb, and Betty Jane Cobb Stewart. All predeceased her. Evelyn was a charter member of the Highland Street Church of Christ.
