Funeral Service for Late Mrs. Louise Chase. Funeral services for the late Mrs. Louise Chase, wife of C.W. Chase, of Gridley, were held Monday morning from the family residence on East Hazel street, Rev. R.S. Eastman of the Presbyterian church of Chico, officiating. The services were brief, consisting of a few remarks by Rev. Eastman, after which the remains were taken to Chico for interment. The pallbearers were W.P. Harkey, James F. King, L. Wolff, O. Perry, H.B. Turner and E.C. Sanders.

Mrs. Chase, whose tragic death was caused last Saturday morning by the accidental discharge of a shotgun as she moved the weapon from its position leaning against the for refrigerator in the kitchen of the Chase home, was a native of Minneapolis, MN. She was born Jan 1 1885, and was 38 years of age. She had resided in CA for 28 years. Before coming to Gridley two years ago the family resided in Chico for a number of years. The deceased was an estimable wife and mother, loved and respected by all who knew her. She is survived by the widower, a son and daughter, and by her mother, Mrs. Wilbur.
