Thomas F. Williams, for fifty years a resident of Webster County, died at Mercy Hospital Thursday night following an illness of two months. Mr. Williams was seventy-eight years of age. He was born in Mitchellville, County Cork, Ireland, and came to this country when he was two years of age. *

He lived on a farm in Webster County for many years, moving to Fort Dodge a few years ago. Mrs. Williams passed away twenty years ago.

The funeral will take place at 8:45 from the residence of his son, Dr. John Williams, at 236 5th Avenue N.; and at 9:00 at Corpus Christi Church with burial in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Five children survive him:

Kate Hartman was married to James Anderson. Her father, Joseph Elias Hartman, was born in Darmstadt, Germany. Her mother was Katherine Kane Hartman, who was born in County Cork, Ireland. One of James and Kate's daughters was Laura Anderson who later married John Williams, Sr.

Laura and John were the parents of John Williams Jr. who became the adoptive stepfather of Betty Ann Williams Rapp and Lillie Mae Williams Clausen.

John Williams Sr. and Laura Anderson were married in a double wedding with John's sister, Mary Francis Williams and Walter Irvine.
