He was born in Norfolk.
He was a member of Courthouse Community United Methodist Church.
He was a fifth grader at Princess Anne Elementary School and was on the school
soccer team. He was a member of the Hampton BMX Association.
Survivors include his parents, James Stuart and Marsha Smith Witcher of Virginia
Beach; one brother, David M. Witcher of Virginia Beach; maternal grandparents,
Herbert D. and Mary H. Teeny Smith of Virginia Beach; and his paternal
grandparents, Vincent H. and Annie B. Witcher Jr. of Penhook.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Smith & Williams Funeral Home,
Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Bruce D. Tuttle.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home and
at other times at the residence.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions
to the building fund of Courthouse Community United Methodist Church.
