Prior to her husband's death, just after their first son died and their last son was born, Richard loaded his family into a wagon and headed to Arkansas where his sister & husband lived. When he died of Hogdkins disease, Lula and the kids got the wagon and went back to Texas where she had her husband buried in Glendale Cemetery.

Charles Fredrick Heddlesten II. They moved to California leaving the children with relatives in Texas. Charles died 12 Aug 1959 in Hanford, Kings co., California.
She remarried in 8 Nov 1963 to Marion Elijah Bohanan in Kern county, California. On 31 Aug 1973 in Richmond, Contra Costa, California he passed away and Lula returned to Texas shortly afterwards.
Children: Willard Leo,Gladys Odell, Richard O'deal Jr.,Joseph Preston; and, two daughters Hazel Dell and Lovie Jo still living.
