Jeanette Catherine (Wofford) Anderson, 100, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, December 30, 2005.

Born April 7, 1905 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late John Franklin Wofford and Ethel (Morgan) Wofford and the widow of Theodore McKinley Anderson, Sr., to whom she was married for over 58 years. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, which included six brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she was honored in 2005 as the oldest living member. She taught in the Primary Department for over 35 years, and was an active member of the Women's Missionary Union while able. She was a devoted Mother and homemaker.

Survivors include one son, Theodore McKinley Anderson, Jr. and his wife Mary Jean of Inman; two daughters, Betty A Pack of Spartanburg and Elaine A. Hunt and her husband Bill of Sapphire Valley, NC and Holden Beach, NC; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn W. Anderson of Anderson; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren, as well as a number of beloved nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Charles Robert Anderson; a daughter, Jeanette A. Hambrick; and two grandchildren, Charles Frederick Garrett and Melody Catherine Moss.

Graveside services were held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2005 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by Rev. David M. Blanton.

The family received friends 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Anderson could be made to her beloved church, Southside Baptist Church, 316 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306.

The family expressed special heartfelt thanks to the staffs at Maranatha Manor and Magnolia Manor for their loving care of Mrs. Anderson.
