MACOMB - Elizabeth S. Wolcott, 89, Macomb, a loving mother and grandmother, died at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born April 18, 1921, in Rushville, the daughter of Lloyd and Mabel Crawford Sherman.
She married Frederick W. Wolcott on July 30, 1960, in California. He preceded her on Aug. 21, 2007.
Surviving are daughter Lucinda Mason of Macomb and one grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Sophia Jean Thorburn.
She was raised and educated in Galesburg schools. She then attended Knox College for one year and Brown's Business College in Galesburg.
She was a homemaker and worked as an executive secretary for Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, Calif., and for George M. Holstein Construction in Costa Mesa, Calif.
She was of Methodist faith and a devoted Republican.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be later. Memorials may be made to Macomb Animal Shelter. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory, Knoxville, is in charge of arrangements.
