Mrs. George L Barton, of Kingston, died of consumption following a prolonged attack of pleurisy, at Dallas, yesterday, where she had been taken a few months ago for the benefit of her health. Deceased was 46 years of age and was born in Scranton on the 24th day of June 1858. She resided in Kingston since her girlhood. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Louise and Bessie Barton; also by four sisters and three brothers -- Pierce Wolcott, a member of the Kingston Council, Albert Wolcott of Kingston; John Wolcott, of Jersey City; Mrs Jessie Haywood, Mrs. Edward Irwin and Mrs. Bessie Hull, all of Kingston. She was a daughter of Peter Wolcott, one of Kingston's prominent citizens. The funeral will take place from the home of her father, with interment in Forty Fort cemetery. -- Wilkes Barre Times, July 29, 1904.
