COLUMBIA - Bobbie Steedly Wright passed away on September 23, 2013 at the Presbyterian Communities of SC in Columbia, SC. Born in Columbia on October 11, 1927, Bobbie cherished growing up in downtown Columbia, where as a young girl, she could play on the State House grounds and later walk but a few blocks to the old Columbia High from which she graduated in 1941. Bobbie met her beloved husband of 63 years, A.M. "Tee" Wright, Jr., in Columbia while he was attending the University of South Carolina following his combat service in World War II. Bobbie and Tee were blessed with four children and five grandchildren.

Bobbie is survived by her husband; her son, Mel Wright; three daughters, Babs DeCamps, and twin daughters, Janice Wilson and Joyce Wright; five grandchildren; and a sister, June Solomon.

A memorial service in celebration of Bobbie's faith and life will be held at the Smith Chapel of First Presbyterian Church on Washington Street in Columbia, SC, on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. A private family burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial gifts be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1324 Marion Street, Columbia, SC 29201 or the Presbyterian Communities of SC, 700 Devaga Drive, Lexington, SC 29073.
