Born in Winston-Salem NC, he was a son of the late James A. and Josephine Proctor Wright . He served in the US Army during World War II in the European Theater, receiving seven of nine battle awards. Mr. Wright retired from Allied Chemical, Maintenance Dept. in 1986. Survivors are his wife, Opal Whittle Wright of the home; daughters, Maxine Cooper, Brenda Timme, both of Blythewood, Teresa Lancaster of Killian; sons, Proctor Wright and Calvin Wright , both of Blythewood; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Jean Watts of Blythewood and Ella Fair Harmon of West Columbia.
