NORFOLK - Nebuchaonezzar E. Yarborough Sr. of 873 Memphis St., retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard and a native of Rocky Mount, N.C., died Tuesday in a hospital.

He was a son of Mrs. Clara L. Yarborough. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Suffolk.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Victoria Davidson of St. Albans, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mary Johnson of Norfolk; three sons, Nebuchaonezzar E. Yarborough Jr. of Nashville, N.C., William H. Yarborough of Norfolk, and John T. Yarborough of Chesapeake; seven sisters, Mrs. Zora Lee Morris and Mrs. Laura Jones of Rocky Mount, Mrs. Annie Williams of Norfolk, Mrs. Glennie Battle of Portsmouth, Mrs. Alice Whitehead of Washington, Mrs. Ollie Battle of Newport News, and Mrs. Ida Thompson of Newark, N.J.

Also six brothers, Thomas Yarborough of Dover, Del., Clallie Yarborough of Newport News, Ivery Yarborough of Washington, Bennie Yarborough and William Yarborough of Rocky Mount, and Hubert Yarborough of New York; and 15 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Oak Grove Baptist Church, Suffolk, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home has charge.
