Myrtle J. Carman, 85, of Kankakee, died Saturday at Riverside Medical Center following a short illness.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hertz-Thoma Chapel, Kankakee.
Cremation rights will be accorded. Burial will be at a later date in Flora.
Memorials for Mrs. Carman may be made to her grandchildren's education fund.
She was born July 17, 1928 in Flora, to William and Hattie Bradley.
She married Joseph Yauch Sept.10, 1947 in Kankakee, and he died May 8, 1993.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jerry Boudreau of Evergreen, Colo; two step-sons, Land Carman of Kankakee and John Carman of Kankakee and John Carman of Camarilo, Calif.; one son-in-law, Dennis Thomas of Bradley; two grandchildren, Nikki Jo Boudreau of Evergreen, Colo., and Bryan Lee Thomas of Bradley; two sisters, Anna Lamb of Flora and Martha Lou Johnson of Galveston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Joyce Thomas, four brothers and five sisters.
Mrs. Carman was a customer service representative at Hornsby's and then Also. She was active with the residents at East Court Village. She previously had been an avid bowler and bowled in a league at Gala Lanes.
