Lingering Illness is Fatal
Mrs. W.W. Hanson, of Sebewa, Loses in Long Fight with Tuberculosis
After a lingering illness from tuberculosis, Mrs. W.W. Hanson expired at ther home in Sebewa Township at about 5 o'clock Monday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at the Sebewa Baptist Church Friday at 11 o'clock and the remains will be laid to rest in that township.
Mrs Hanson's maiden name was Emily Carolina York. She was born in Easton Township, Ionia Co., Dec. 13, 1848 and had resided in the vicinity of Portland for more than 30 years. She was married to W.W. Hanson at St. Joseph, Michigan about 46 years ago and the couple are parents of five children.
They are Mrs. B.B. Aldrich, Mrs. Glenn France, Portland; Mrs Barney Oatley, Mrs. Fred Reed, Sebewa; and Ed Hanson, who lives at home. Deceased is also survived by the husband, three brothers and one sister who are: Zack York, Ann Arbor; Stephen and Elias York, Sebewa; Mrs Mary Curtis, Berlin Township.
