Celebration of Life held June 1 at The Barn Chapel at Evergreen Memorial Park. With her older sister Sally and their parents Donald C. Young and Viola (Thon) Young moved to Denver when Jo was a young girl. Jo graduated from East High School and CSU. She and her husband George lived in Cheyenne, Ft. Collins (where she taught Junior High English), Lakewood and Amarillo before settling down in Evergreen for 36 years. In Evergreen, she assisted in Jefferson County Schools, worked for Smith-Kline and the Fabric Shop at Evergreen Drug. Survivors beside her husband included: sons Gregory John (Robin) Thomas, Littleton, and Jeffrey Charles (Victoria) Thomas, Austin, TX; and grandson Justin Thomas. Jo enjoyed sewing, crochet, quilting, knitting, travelling and a lively game of tennis. Memorial Donations made to American Heart Association.
