Death summoned Francis Brunson at his home in this city early Monday morning at the advanced age of 82 years, one month and 26 days. He had long been a highly respected citizen of Humboldt.
Francis Brunson was born in Ononadga, N. Y., November 17, 1830. He served his country faithfully as second lieutenant Co. F., 33 Reg. Indiana Infantry. His wife, Emma, passed away March 5th, 1910. Two children survive. They are Mrs. Charles Halstead, of Farley, Mo., and Willard of Humboldt.
Deceased was an honored member of Humboldt Lodge I.O.O.F. and of the G.A.R. post. Members of both organizations formed in line and marched from the home to the M.E. church where funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. L. A. McKeever. The remains were laid to rest in Mount Hope cemetery.
