Arnold Carty, age 76, of Hammonds Fork Road, Salyersville, Ky., passed away Friday, January 30, 2015, at his home.

He was born August 8, 1938, in Stinson, Ky., to the late Edgar and Ruie Penix Carty.

In addition to his parents, Arnold is preceded in death by two brothers, Ovie Carty and Ernest Carty and one sister Imogene Keeton.

He was the husband of Betty Montgomery Carty, who survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Greg Carty, Christopher Carty and Rickey Carty all of Salyersville, Ky., one daughter, Teresa Watson of Salyersville, Ky., four brothers, Max Carty, Arlen Carty, James Carty and Dorsie Carty all of Salyersville, Ky., four sisters; Mollie Jackson, Glenda Sue Minix and Brenda Kay Carty all of Salyersville, Ky., and Marlene Hall of Columbus, OH., seven grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2015, from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel, with Jimmy Conley, Denzil Jenkins and Paul Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Jenkins Family Cemetery at Rockhouse, Kentucky.
