Lieutenant Leslie G Chandler, an aviator at Kelly Field, was killed instantly and his flying companion, Cadet Henry K Huber, was slightly injured in a seventy-five ft. fall at the aviation school late Friday afternoon, it was announced today.
Lieutenant Chandler's body was sent tonight to Hinsdale, Ill.., where his father lives.
In a report made to Washington, it was stated that the accident was caused by the side-slipping of the airplane after a motor had "gone dead".
This is the sixth fatality from accidents since the school opened nearly a year ago.
