VIOLET Y. CONLEY, age 85, of New Paris, Ohio died Tuesday morning, August 28, 2001 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Born on January 10, 1916 in Portsmouth, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Arthur & Katherine (Skaggs) Young.
She retired as a Supervisor in 1978 after 20 years of service with Richmond State Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. She attended Agape Fellowship in Richmond, Indiana.
Preceded in death by her Husband: Jess W. Conley in 1997; Brothers: Truman Young and Denial Young.
Survived by Son: Larry J. Conley of New Paris, Ohio; Daughters & Son-In-Law: Doris Conley and Janelle & Lowell Steele both of New Paris, Ohio; Sisters: Nell Seal and Imalee Scarberry both of New Paris, Ohio; 3 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2001 - 11:00 A.M. (Ohio Time) at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio with Pastor Bret Karanovich officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 29, 2001 from 6 to 8 P.M. (Ohio Time) at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery - New Paris, Ohio.
