Word was received Monday by relatives that William Downs, half-brother of Pomeroy Cook, died at his home in Mississippi Sunday, of pneumonia. He was born near Martinsville, and was aged about 46 years. He leaves a wife and two sons, one of whom is in the U. S. service. He had been a resident of Mississippi for a number of years.
