Michael S. Leonard, loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, died on July 6, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah at age 67.

Born July 4, 1942 in Phoenix, Arizona to exemplary parents Joseph Mack and Zenna Elizabeth Leonard, Michael grew up in Salt Lake City where he attended Dilworth Elementary, Hillside Junior High, and East High School. He continued his education at University of Utah, where he earned a bachelor degree in political science and a Masters degree in business administration.

He married Donna D. Grantham for time and eternity in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. They had a wonderful life together, enjoying their three children: Susan (Jeff) Hermanson, Matthew Leonard, and Stacey (Richard) Adamson.

Michael was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His many callings included serving twice as bishopric counselor, stake executive secretary, stake high counselor, Elders quorum president (Scottsdale Arizona North Stake), and Gospel Doctrine teacher. Currently, he was serving as ward mission leader.

Greatly influenced by his father (a Silver Beaver award recipient), Michael became an Eagle Scout and a long and generous supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, serving in leadership roles throughout his life. He began his professional career at Proctor and Gamble, quickly moving into a 25 year executive career with the airlines.

Wanting to exercise his entrepreneurial skills, he created a successful career and businesses in the marketing fulfillment industry. Michael was a great example and spent a lifetime in the service of others. This service and devotion to the Lord, his wife, children, and grandchildren was his priority.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; his three children and their spouses; his brother Gregory (Josephine) Leonard; mother-in-law Eula Marjorie Grantham; sister-in-law.
