The funeral of Norma L. Martin, 91, a resident of Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury, formerly of Chatsworth, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Chatsworth United Methodist Church. The Rev. Guy Keysear and the Rev. Max Borah will officiate. Burial will be in Chatsworth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hager Memorial Home, Chatsworth, and one hour before service Sunday at the church. She died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 16, 2003) at the home. Memorials may be made to Chatsworth United Methodist Church or to Fairview Haven. She was born Aug. 28, 1911, at Odell, a daughter of Homer and Bertha Seegmiller Gillette. She married Raymond C. Martin on Oct. 19, 1929, at Bloomington. He died Feb. 7, 1990. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Chatsworth. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Martin long will be remembered by her family and friends for her knitting and crocheting talents. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping and fishing.
