The Funeral Of Raymond C. Martin, 83, of Chatsworth will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chatsworth United Methodist Church. The Rev. Paul Mallory will officiate. Burial will be in Chatsworth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Culkin-Diggle Funeral Home, Chatsworth. A Masonic service will be at 8:30 p.m. Visitation also will be one hour before the service at the church. Mr. Martin died at 1:33 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 7, 1990) after being stricken at his home with a heart attack a short time earlier. He was born Aug. 3, 1906, in Chatsworth, a son of William and Hattie Mammen Martin. He married Norma Gillette Oct. 19, 1929, in Bloomington. She survives. He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Mr. Martin was a member of Chatsworth United Methodist Church, Bloomington Consistory, and the Chatsworth Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member and past master of Chatsworth Masonic Lodge 539 and was a 32nd-degree Mason. He was one of five original charter members to organize the Chatsworth Community Sale during the late 1940s, serving as sales clerk for many years. He was a former Chatsworth Township committeeman for the ASCS Livingston County Farm Program. He was a former member and past president of Chatsworth school board and a former member of the Flying Farmers, RV Traveler's Club and Chatsworth Lions Club. He farmed in Livingston and Ford counties from 1931 until retiring in 1968. Memorials may be made to Chatsworth United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
