Gus E. Martin, 72, of 827 Lincoln boulevard, Manitowoc, died Wednesday afternoon
at the Holy Family hospital, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Masonic temple, Manitowoc.
There will be Christian Science and Masonic rites, with burial in Evergreen
cemetery.
Mr. Martin was born in Marinette in 1879 and came to Manitowoc when a young man.
In 1914 he married Emma Cisler Mason. For nearly 30 years he has been employed
at the Aluminum Goods company plant in Manitowoc. HE was tiler in the F. and A.M.
lodge officer list.
Survivors are his wife, of Manitowoc; a son, Edward, and a stepson, Herbert Mason,
both of Minneapolis; sister, Mrs. George Wambolt of Milwaukee and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Frazier mortuary, Manitowoc, after 2 p.m. Friday. The casket
will be moved to the Masonic temple at 10 a.m. Saturday.

MASON-MARTIN.
A quiet home wedding that was a surprise to friends was celebrated at the
residence of undersheriff Joseph Cizler this morning when his daughter, Mrs.
Emma Mason became the bride of Gustave E. Martin. Rev. Smith officiated at the
ceremony and attendants to the bridal couple were Miss Emma and Edwin Stastny,
niece and nephew of the bride.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin departed at noon today for a honeymoon trip in the South
and will return here to make their home on the Boulevard. The groom is employed
in the shipping department of the Aluminum Goods Manufacturing company.
