ADELHAIT A. MAURER
Adelhait A. Maurer, age 92, of 2144 Granger Rd., Manitowoc, died Saturday,
Dec. 26, 1998 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center. Funeral services will be
held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998 at redeemer (sic) Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc. Officiating will be the Rev. Richard Miller, with burial to follow
at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Adelhait was born June 25, 1906 in the town of Liberty, daughter of the late
Gustave and Mary Cummings Rusch. She grew up and was educated in the town of
Liberty, Manitowoc County. She was a proud graduate of the Manitowoc County
Teachers College. Adelhait married Edgar F. Maurer on July 14, 1927, at Trinity
Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Liberty. She taught school in Manitowoc
County for several years. She was a proud homemaker and took pleasure in being
informed of her grandchildren's education and accomplishments. She was a member
of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society. She was a member of the
Manitowoc Yacht Club and a former member of the Manitowoc Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her husband, Edgar F. Maurer; three sons and daughters-in-law,
Clifford and Delma Maurer, Los Altos, Calif., Charles and Cele Maurer, Greendale,
Wis., Richard and Barbara Maurer, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law, Junice
and Rodger Budnik, Arbor Vitae, Wis., 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren;
three sisters-in-law, Leona Rusch, Manitowoc, Viola Busse, Manitowoc, Eleanor
Bouchard, Zion, Ill. Also surivving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Lydia Berge;
one brother, Arnold Rusch.
Relatives and friends may call at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, on Tuesday,
Dec. 29, 1998, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of serivces at 11 a.m. Memorials may
be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church. Reinbold and Pfeffer Funeral Services,
Manitowoc, assisted the family with arrangements.
