Mrs. Walter Maurer, 49, of 733 South 27th street, died Sunday evening at the
Holy Family hospital. She was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage at her home
Sunday afternoon and died a few hours later.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Redeemer Lutheran
church, the Rev. Valentine Mack officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery.
She was born Elsie Stock in Newton in 1900 and in 1920 was married to Mr.
Maurer. Three years later they moved to this city. She was a member of the
Ladies Aid society of the Redeemer congregation.
Survivors are her husband; four sons, (private); mother, Mrs. William Stock
of this city; and a grandson, (private).
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home after Tuesday noon.
The casket will be moved to the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday to lie in state
until the hour of services.
