George F. Miller, 68, of 1420 N. 21st St., Manitowoc, died Friday evening at
Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Glenn H. Unke will officiate with burial in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Miller was born Sept. 21, 1907, in Manitowoc County, son of the late
Ferdinand and Louisa Zarn Miller. He was educated in local schools and was
graduated from Lincoln High School in 1925. He married Florence Forest Oct. 19,
1935, at Woodstock, Ill. She preceded him in death Aug. 21, 1962. He married
Lydia Bauch May 2, 1964, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. He had
operated Streich Oil Co., Manitowoc, from 1945 to 1956 and for the past 18 years
had been employed at Watercare Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia, a step-son and daughter-in-law, Harlan and
Helen Demsien, and grandchildren, Susan, Anne, Steven and Cheryl Demsien and a
step-son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Patricia Bauch, and grandchildren,
Faith, Merry, and Tim Bauch, of Manitowoc, a sister, Mrs. Carmen Brodtke, of
Cato and nieces and nephews. Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in
death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 to 9 p.m.
Sunday and at the church from noon Monday until the time of service. Memorials
may be made to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
