96-YEAR-OLD WOMAN DIES
Mrs. Milman Headed Family of Five Generations
Mrs. Harmon William Milman, 96, who for the past two years made her home with
her grandson, A. W. Milman, 512 St. Clair street, died Sunday. The deceased
headed a family of five generations.
Funeral services will be held from the Sacred Heart church at 9 a.m. Wednesday
with interment in Evergreen cemetery.
The deceased was born in Germany, August 1, 1837 and came to this country with
her parents when a girl of five. They located first at Milwaukee and then moved
to Racine. There Mrs. Milman made her home for 75 years, coming to this city
two years ago.
Survivors are a daughter-in-law, Mrs. William Milman, city; two grandchildren,
Mrs. I. W. Whitaker and A. W. Milman; two great grandchildren, Mrs. R. L. Towsley
and Gail Whitaker; and two great great grandchildren, Fay and Diane Townsley.
The body will be moved to the residence of I.W. Whitaker, 1111 Huron street,
from the Vogelsang funeral home Tuesday morning.
