CORA L. MUELLER (d. 1994)

Mrs. Cora L. Ahrens Mueller, age 91, former Manitowoc resident, died Monday,
February 21, 1994, at the Skaalen Nursing Home, Stoughton, Wis.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 1994, at the
St. John's United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. Rev. Robert Meyer will officiate
with burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born May 17, 1902, in the town of Two Rivers, Manitowoc County, daughter
of the late John and Augusta Runge Ahrens. She was a graduate of the Two Rivers
Washington High School with the class of 1920, and graduated from the Manitowoc
Teachers College in 1921. She taught in the Town of Kossuth and Mishicot and
also the State Rated School of Mishicot. She married Milton L. Mueller June 2,
1925, in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death April 6, 1988. Mrs. Mueller was a
resident of Manitowoc for 55 years prior to moving to Sun Prairie in 1985. She
was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ and had served as the
president of the St. John's Women's Guild. She was also a member of the Sheboygan
Regional women's Guild, Synodical Women's Guild, United Council of Church Women,
the U.C.T. and the Eastern Star and Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Sandra Mueller, Sun
Prairie, Wis., Edward and Marion Mueller, Neenah, Wis.; one daughter and son-in-
law, Carol and William Hayes, Winnnetka, Ill.; six grandchildren, Kristin (Brook)
Redd; Susan (Ramund) Dettmer; Steven Mueller; John Mueller; Paul Mueller and
Patrick Hayes; one great grandson, Ethan Redd; two sisters, Myrtle Kastrosky,
Watertown, Wis., Mildred Walters, Spokane, Wash. She was also preceded in death
by three brothers, Jerry, Harvey and Elmer, and a sister, Elvira.
Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of services.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home of Manitowoc, is assisting the family with arrangements.
