Oswin H. Mueller, 83, formerly of 734 N. 10th St., Manitowoc, died Saturday
morning at Family Heritage Nursing home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at
1:30 pm Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Donald T. Stannard
will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Mueller was born June 17, 1887 at Kewaunee, son of the late Rev. Henry and
Augusta Gerke Mueller. He married Amanda E. Gans June 4, 1912 at Manitowoc. He
was employed by Bradley Knitting co. of Delavan for 25 years and at Friedlander
Knitting co. of Milwaukee until his retirement in 1956 when the couple moved to
Manitowoc. Mr. Mueller was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Mueller preceded him in death Aug. 31, 1969.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bette Vits of Manitowoc and Mrs. F.W.
Purcell of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Wieber of Houghton, Mich.,
and Mrs. Clemens Hagen of Green Bay and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 o'clock this Monday evening.

Miss Amanda Gans and Oswin Mueller were married at the parsonage
of the German M.E. Church at 7 o'clock, Rev. Menzner officiating.
Miss Olive Albers of Sheboygan was bridesmaid and Herbert Pitz,
groomsman. Mr. and Mrs. Mueller, following the ceremony, departed
for a trip to the Dells.
Mr. and Mrs. Mueller are among the city best known young people,
held in esteem by all who know them and popular with a host of
friends. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. A. Gans, 910 Huron St.,
and is a bright and talented girl. Miss Gans has held a position
as cashier for the Manitowoc Boiler Works co., for some time. Mr.
Mueller is a son of Rev. H.F. Mueller, former pastor of the German
M.E. Church and holds a position as machine foreman at the plant
of the Wisconsin Knitting Mills Co., and has the confidence and
esteem of his employers and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Mueller will make
their home at 1214 So. 12th Street.
