Harry W. Mullins, 62, of Neptune Beach, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010. He was born to the late Max and Vadene Mullins, Sept. 4, 1947, in Memphis, TN. He was predeceased by is parents and a brother, John Steven Mullins. Harry graduated from Central High School in 1966 and attended Memphis State University. He served four years in the United States Navy and settled in the Jacksonville area in 1971. Harry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carole Mullins, two children: Georgia (Jim) Sadler and Geoff (Gina) Mullins; siblings: Robbie (Vicki) Mullins, David (Cherri) Mullins, and Wendi (Jerry) Spurgers; three grandchildren, Katharine, Marshall, and Mia; and many nieces and nephews. His greatest role was that of "Poppy" to his grandchildren, who loved him dearly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice Foundation. An oceanfront memorial service was held in Neptune Beach on February 9. Interment and committal service will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on February 26, 2010, at 1:00 pm.
