Funeral services for Chester E. Pelfrey, 57. Rt. 4, Louisa, will be conducted today at Young Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Gordon Crisp. Burial will be in Pelfrey Family Cemetery, Rt. 3, Louisa. Mr. Pelfrey died Sunday, November 11, 1990, at home due to a sudden illness. He was born September 2, 1933, in Martha, son of Forrest Lee and Liza Marinda Cox Pelfrey. He was a merchant, a retired Huntington Alloy worker, and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Janet Preece Pelfrey; three sons, Chet Eric Pelfrey, at home, Roger Neal Pelfrey, Louisa, James David Pelfrey, Chapman, KS; two step-daughters, Elizabeth Parson, Rt. 3, Louisa and Kimberly Jobe, Star Route, Louisa; one stepson, Allen Priode, at home; six sisters, Greta Maxie, Martha, Grace Jones, Hilliard, OH, Nannie Rigsby, Blaine, Gladys Wells, Hartford, KY, Thelma Evans and Betty Wheeler, both of Grove City, OH; five brothers, Emerson Pelfrey, Merryville, IN, W. H. "Pat" Pelfrey, Keaton, KY, John Pelfrey, Martha, Forrest Pelfrey, Blaine, and Bill Pelfrey, Paintsville; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Young Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
