E. G. "Burr" Rasco, 73, of Blooming Grove, passed away Dec. 26, 2009, in Corsicana. He was born April 5, 1936, in Barry to Odie Gay and Olivia Ruth Rasco. He grew up in Blooming Grove, and enjoyed riding his tractor to check on his cows with his dogs following. He also enjoyed spending time at the lake with family and friends swimming, boating and fishing. He liked to hunt and race cars. Rasco rebuilt old cars doing all the mechanical and body work himself. He always loved the kids and gave all of them a nickname. He is preceded in death by parents Odie Gay and Olivia Ruth Rasco. Survivors include his wife, Frances Rasco of Frost; daughter Maretha Garrett Bink of Alaska; son Eddie Gay Rasco of Arkansas; sisters Sharon Davis and husband Joe of Georgetown, Shirelen Seiber of Frost; grandchildren Terry Rasco and wife Sabra of Frost, Jonathan Monthey and wife Julie of Frost, Chasity Perry and husband Rusty of Mertens, Rachael Williams and husband Dana of Frost. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Sabrina Moses, Tristan Perry, Chances Moses, Lacey Garrett, Samuel Perry, Preston Rasco, Jaden Jenkins, and Hunter Perry. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Griffin Roughton Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at Dresden Cemetery with Bro. Ricky Woodall officiating. Pallbearers will be Rick Southard, Donnie Moses, Bobby Redman, Ethan Redman, Matthew Redman and Jerry Redman.
