JoAnn Stupak, 63, of Aurora, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2006 at Provena Mercy Center. She was born September 26, 1942 in Green Valley, IL, the daughter of the late Jesse and Catherine (Lowe) Stonecipher. JoAnn was a 1960 graduate of East Aurora High School. She was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union Local 189 for 20 years. JoAnn was in her twentieth year of employment at Jewel Food Stores when her illness resulted in a disability leave in 1988. She was a member of the Fourth Street United Methodist Church of Aurora.

Survivors include her son, David R. Freyling...; her daughter, Deanna Tolson...; five grandchildren, Michelle Freyling..., Meredith and Matthew..., Jordanna and Koressa Freyling...; a great granddaughter, Alexandria Alvarez...; four sisters, Shirley (Erhart) Stallmann..., Barbara Smith..., Beverly (Ray) Gonzalez ... and Patricia Stonecipher...; two brothers, Jesse (Linda) Stonecipher ... and William Stonecipher.... JoAnn is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her infant son, Douglas Evan Freyling in 1964; a brother, Ronald Lee Stonecipher in 1982 and her special friends, Russell and Naomi Freyling.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, March 27, 2006 at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora with Rev. David Eichelberger officiating. Interment will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1-5 P.M. on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the American Lung Association or to Fourth Street United Methodist Church.
